Mrs Rokhaya Kandji, a passion for teaching and innovation

Mrs. Rokhaya KANDJI is Managing Director of the IFAGE Institute of Insurance and Management, based in Dakar, Senegal. She has over 10 years' management experience in the creation, implementation and monitoring of undergraduate and graduate programs focusing on insurance and actuarial sciences.

IFAGE is a private institute that is the leading teaching center specializing in insurance and actuarial sciences in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa.

In 2015, it founded the first bachelor's degree in actuarial sciences in French-speaking West Africa, and in 2018 a master's program in actuarial sciences. To promote and facilitate access to insurance training in Africa, and to meet the new needs arising from the pandemic, she has developed a comprehensive online program for insurance professionals. It actively promotes all these programs at face-to-face meetings, through boots at regional and national events, and on social media.

To contribute to regional integration in line with the political will of ECOWAS countries, and to bring together human capacity-building initiatives between French- and English-speaking countries, on September 25 she signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a bilingual Master of Actuarial Sciences program with the West African Insurance Institute (WAAI) based in Banjul (Gambia).

She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Management, a Master's degree in Quality Management Systems and a Certificate in Higher Education Management (ECOWAS and AUF).
